Event Details:
Help clear the existing trail with hand pruners, loppers, and folding saws, and make sure flagging ribbons remain in place. Some stepping stones will be collected and placed in a bed of gravel to traverse a puddy section.
The Hike: Estimated mileage: ~4 miles of overgrown singletrack multi-use forest trail.
Meeting Location: California Hill State Forest - Wawayanda Court. - Google Maps Link
Time: 9AM-1PM+
Supplies: We will examine our collective inventory of tools and supplies that day. Bring what you have or we will supply you with pruner, lopper, folding saw, rake.
What to bring: Plenty of water, lunch and snacks, long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes. Bring gloves and eye protection if you have them. PPE will be available for anyone who doesn't have them.
Volunteers for this workshop must be at least 18 years of age or older to participate.
